BEIJING: China will attempt its first space docking between two unmanned vehicles this year, the first step in efforts to build a Chinese space station, a senior official said on Friday.

北京——周五，一个高级官员说，中国今年将试图进行无人操纵的两个太空舱的首次太空对接，这是致力于建立中国自己空间站的第一步。

天宫意为“天上的宫殿”，它是个重达8吨的人造卫星，使命2年，将于2012同神舟9号和10号火箭对接，神舟9号和10号上面将载有航天员。

2016前，中国将发射一个太空实验室，杨利伟说，“我们计划在2020年左右完成长期在太空运行的空间站的建设。”

中国的空间站将由一个核心太空舱，两个实验室，一艘货运飞船和一个载人火箭组成。比起俄罗斯137吨的米尔空间站和419吨的国际空间站，中国的空间站总重为60吨，中国日报本周报道说。

在和平利用太空方面“中国愿意同其它国家合作。”杨利伟说，他具有中国军队的少将军衔，中国军队负责中国的载人航天工程。

被问及中国的登月计划，他说：“中国现在还没有具体的登月任务。”但是补充说，该计划在考虑之中。

“我真切感受到了太空给一个国家所带来的荣誉。”他说。

China is not a superpower... not yet anyway... China's economy is built out of playing cards(made in U.S.A), any disturbance will cause it to collapse... I've been to China, their is a lot of abuse, and waste... and the poor... my, god its terrible... China is seen in the media only as a growing economy, not a superpower....

I have not heard many Chinese are saying that the China is a superpower; matter of fact, not even will be a superpower. What is a superpower anyway? China can not be a superpower because nearly 5% of the mainland Chinese are still illiterate.

我没听过许多中国人说中国是个超级大国，实际上，即使将来也不是。那么什么是超级大国呢？中国不会是个超级大国，因为大陆约有5%的中国人仍是文盲。

You are right, China is a developing country. Have you heard many Chinese saying that China is, or even will be, a superpower? What is a superpower anyway?

你是对的，中国是个发展中国家。你有听过许多中国人说中国是，或者将来是，一个超级大国吗？那么什么是超级大国呢？

India should work with China, Russia and Brazil and the others on the space projects. A sort of the BRICS SPACE It is better and maybe safer for the further generation to come. each one can have their own labs isolated from each one can have their own transport etc. The research can be secret if desired, or shared.

印度应当同中国，俄罗斯，巴西和其它国家在太空项目上合作。一种“金砖四国”模式的太空项目。这对于后代来说更好更安全。每一国可以有他们独立的实验室，每一国可以有他们自己的运输系统等。如果愿意，研究可以是秘密的，或是共享。

This is only a plan; although the Chinese have a pretty good track of records to follow their plan through, there is not really much to talk about right now. I did not see much fanfare on the Chinese websites. Even they would do it successfully, China is still a new comer in the space research.

这只是一个计划；尽管中国在沿着既定计划行进方面保持着良好记录，现在也没有什么好说的。在中国的网站上，我没有看到太多的炫耀。即使他们会做得很成功，在太空研究方面，中国仍然是一个新人。

Congrats! for such achievement. China is doing really big and innovatively at super pace as per their World power status. Wish India learns half of this efficiency and innovation instead of leacturing big. China can only be countered by India, matching their business efficiency, scale and technology edge but India is fighting different fight altogether, with Maoist, J&K, CWG, 2G, Anna and lot more. 500 years down the road, the chinese will say, they invented the space walk, like paper, silk, vitreos clay, fireworks etc etc.

The whole world is helping India for everything including military & space program, and here China is mostly doing and copying everything by themselves. It sure is a great accomplishment, Well done China.
