To understand the marketing concept, it is only necessary to understand the difference between marketing and selling.

Not too many years ago, most industries concentrated primarily on the efficient production of goods, and then relied on "persuasive salesmanship" to move as much of these goods as possible. Such production and selling focuses on the needs of the seller to produce goods and then convert them into money.

 

Marketing, on the other hand, focuses on the wants of consumers. It begins with first analyzing the preferences and demands of consumers and then producing goods that will satisfy them. This eye-on-the-consumer approach is known as the marketing concept, which simply means that instead of trying to sell whatever is easiest to produce or buy for resale, the makers and dealers first endeavor to find out what the consumer wants to buy and then go about making it available for purchase.

 

 

As can be seen from the graph, the average number of students in universities increased dramatically over the period from 1999 to 2005. Before 1998, less than ### students could enter colleges, however, after 1999, people who can received high-educated were coming increasingly rise, and in 2005 the figure hit ###.

 

A multitude of factors could account for the rise. In the first place, with the development of modern science and technology, more and more people aware that the importance of a large scope of knowledge. If a man has a wide range of knowledge, he will have more opportunities to achieve success and will be better pilot of his life. In the second place, government enable more chances for males and females to go to college.

 

  However, there is still exist some problems, such as, quality of teaching, students’ accommodations, job and so on. And how to balance the  升学and 就业 is also a serious problem. Anyhow, we will benefit a lot from college as long as we want to pursue knowledge.
