How to play MUSICAL CHAIRS with PAPER PLATES
Next time you have a birthday party for your child try this fun version of musical chairs! You don't need any chairs at all! It's safer (no knocking each other off chairs), it's fun (even more fun) and it's easy (so easy)!

Instructions
things you'll need:
- paper plates
- kids

Get some paper plates. You need a plate for each child minus one. So if you have 10 kids you need 9 paper plates.

Put the paper plates on the floor in a circle. Play some music and have the kids march around the circle. Instruct the kids to sit on a paper plate when the music stops. Then stop the music at any point and watch the kids scurry to sit on a plate.

Whatever child is left without a paper plate under their butt is out. Have all the kids get up then remove one paper plate and start all over again. The last kid left sitting on a plate is the winner!

Here's a nice twist. When a child is out let them pick the paper plate that is to be removed. Have a little message written on the back with directions as to where to find a small prize... like "look behind the pink lamp in the living room." This way all kids feel like winners and no one is sad when they are out. And the last child remaining (the "real" winner) can have the grand prize! But make the prize equal to what all the others got so no one feels bad (can you tell I'm a softie?). Have fun!
