Women Who Lost Virginity Early More Likely To Divorce: New Study
新研究：失贞早女性更容易离婚

There might be a new argument to try when convincing your teen to wait to have sex. According to the a study conducted by the University of Iowa, women who lost their virginity in their young teens are more likely to divorce.
这可能可以帮助你说服十几岁的孩子保持童贞。根据一项美国爱荷华大学的研究，在十几岁就失贞的女性更容易离婚。

The study, published in the Journal of Marriage and Family,surveyed the responses of 3,793 women and found that 31 percent wholost their virginity as teens divorced within five years, and 47 percentdivorced within 10 years. On the flip side, the divorce rate for womenwho had waited to have sex was only 15 percent at the five year mark,and 27 percent by the time 10 years rolled around.
这项发表于《婚姻与家庭期刊》的研究调查了3793名女性，结果发现31%在十几岁就失贞的女性结婚不到五年就会离婚，十年内离婚的则有47%。而另一边发生性行为较晚的女性五年内的离婚率则只有15%，10年内这一比例也不过27%。

Butthe study also found that a first sexual experience before the age of16 -- wanted or not -- was still strongly associated with divorce.
该研究也同样发现，十六岁之前就有初次性行为的，不论是自愿还是被迫，都更容易离婚。

Ofcourse early sexual experiences can have lasting effects onrelationships later in life. So it's not surprising that with 42 percentof participants claiming their first sexual experience before the ageof 18 wasn't completely wanted, that it could affect them in their adultlife.
显然过早的性行为会对以后人生中的男女关系产生重大的影响。因此当18岁前就已经有过性经验的女性中有42%都说并非完全自愿时，这对其成人后生活会有何种影响也就不言而喻了。

Thestudy's author, Anthony Paik, said in a press release that oneexplanation for his findings is, "If the sex was not completely wantedor occurred in a traumatic context, it's easy to imagine how that couldhave a negative impact on how women might feel about relationships, oron relationship skills. The experience could point people on a pathtoward less stable relationships."

Thestudy did not examine the divorce rates for men who lost theirvirginity in their teens, but Paik said he thinks it would make aninteresting follow up.
