19 fallen Chinese expeditionary soldiers returned home

On Sept. 14 honored guests inaugurated the monument to the China Anti-Japanese Expeditionary Army in the National Martyrs' Cemetery in Tengchong County, Yunnan province. (Xinhua/Li Qi)
The remains of 19 Chinese soldiers of the Anti-Japanese Expeditionary Army were returned to China from Myanmar on Wednesday, and were buried in the National Martyrs' Cemetery in Tengchong County, Yunnan province.
Thousands of people from all walks of the society, including local residents, expeditionary army veterans and their descendants, and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, gathered in the Cemetery to honor the returned heroes.
