一.教学目标:本节课主要学习日期的表达方式。通过围绕生日进行互相问答式的讨论,掌握英语表达月、日的单词和句型。
二.语言目标:掌握以下句型
When is your/her/his birthday ? My/Her/His birthday is November 11th .

四.课前准备
教师:制作多媒体课件,准备部分教学用具。
学生:预习新单词
五.教学步骤:
Step1: Warming up
An English song before class (Happy birthday to you)
Step2: Leading-in
1. Show a calendar to teach the 12 months
2. Learn the 12 months by listening and repeating
Step3: Consolidation
1.Consolidate the 12months by learning to sing the song The Months.
2. To make sure if the Ss master the 12 months , show the slides about the months quickly ,then ask them say which month they can see.
Step4: Presentation
·Introduce the structure: “When is your/her/his birthday ?” “My/Her/His birthday is November 9th .”
T: When is your birthday ?
S1: My birthday is -----
T: When is his /her birthday ?
S2: His /Her birthday is ----
...
Step5: Pairwork
1. Work in pairs .
2. Ask some pairs to show their work.
Step6: Listening
1. Listen and number in Section A, 1b
2. Listen and match in Section A, 2c
Homework
1. Copy the new words and try to remember them.
2. Make a survey: Interview your friends, and fill in the form below.

本节课所涉及的内容,很贴近学生的实际,但学生在学习十二个月时,可能会存在较大困难,因而,我设计了学习The Months这首歌曲的教学活动。在这个活动中,学生都比较积极,也很感兴趣,但这个时间花费有点长。学生在掌握好12个月后,后面的教学非常的顺利,在Pairwork中,学生参与度很高。我觉得歌曲The Months的教学,如果与取得音乐教师的配合,我相信,这堂课的教学效果将更好。
